Royal Hamam was born from the love and fascination of travel. Having had the opportunity to travel to some of the most ancient and exotic places on earth, impressions and imprints were made from an early age. This love affair with the exotic world was undertaken with my family, throughout India, Asia, the South Pacific & Northern Africa.

Now founder & designer of Australian jewellery label Royal Hamam I travel with an eye keen for the detail found in architecture, sculpture, and the culturally rich dialogue of ceramics & textiles, all of which tell a thousand stories. I design with the aim to create timeless, ageless, & luxuriously exotic jewellery. With a pencil and sketch pad in hand I designed my first collection at the Taj Mahal, in India. My exotic aesthetic had found its voice through jewellery. Designs that resonate of an incredible architectural period translated into designs that are made by hand, by artisans, with care and focus.

Royal Hamam is also the story of my mother: an incredible, deeply aware woman who I am so lucky to have intimately involved in my life. She began importing beautiful, hard to find pieces across a wide range of products; home wares, jewelry, soft furnishings, and many more collectables, over 25 years ago, after a trip she and my father took to the breathtakingly exotic Kashmir. There upon a Shikara she purchased a coral and turquoise necklace. This necklace was admired by many upon her return and repeatedly drew the question; “Why didn’t you buy more?” With this question in mind and a business card from a Kashmiri handicrafts man, she took me, 11 years old at the time, to the city of Delhi in India, to meet this man and his wares. And so her business began, and now in reflection, so too did mine.

My early visits to India began a journey across ancient landscapes, where the vibrant colours of Rajasthan made an imprint on my soul: as a block print on a piece of fabric. I have been privileged to watch products being made and hand painted or sewn by the local craftsman, and the beauty of their handwork is what I want to share. By supporting these craftsmen I am hoping that their skills will be passed down to the next generation, and so their unique crafts will not be lost, nor forgotten.

Over the past 25 years I have accompanied my mother throughout much of India, China, South East Asia, and Europe, in search of wonderful, colourful, inspirational collections. My mother's drive and instinct has seen the growth of a formidable business, and Royal Hamam feels like a new chapter of this journey, as I design jewellery based on my love of the exotic places and experiences that now define my aesthetic. In this way Royal Hamam is designed from a global context, and is offered to a global audience.

And finally, but most importantly, the way in which I have been brought up; the blue print created; the continual, unwavering support I have from my husband, parents, and some magical friends, is absolutely the reason Royal Hamam is here; full of energy, love and inspiration.

I am thrilled to offer my jewels to you.

Welcome to the world of Royal Hamam.

Love,
